The library and library instruction provide a core role in supporting literacy at Bywood. Students enjoy quality literature, have the opportunity to read independently with books of their choice, and are taught all the process skills needed to use a modern library. The librarian also teaches and reinforces the Pennsylvania language arts curriculum in research, the use of diverse resources such as Encyclopedias, Atlas, Almanac and online websites, and basic reading skills.
