Coach Liberio is entering his 9th year with the Royals Women’s Basketball Program and his 6th as Head Coach for the 2024-25 season.  He has over 25 years of basketball coaching experience from the youth, high school and AAU levels and was a player at Upper Darby.    Coach Liberio’s main goal is to create a program that not only teaches the game of basketball but creates an enjoyable environment for the players to learn and play.   He believes that being a student athlete is a privilege which is based on academic performance and players' commitment to their academic success.  Coach Liberio believes in coaching and managing to a team first concept where the team's goals are above individual player goals which are built on a strong work ethic and commitment. 

Daryl Lloyd – JV Head Coach / Assistant Varsity Coach

Coach Lloyd joined the Upper Darby Royals Basketball program in 2019 - 20 and is no stranger to our community as he is a current Upper Darby School District Employee.  Coach Lloyd is committed to helping players develop their skills and become better players of the game.  In addition to his coaching ability, Coach Lloyd heads up our college recruiting and works dilligently helping players continue their basketball career at the next level.  Prior to Upper Darby, Coach Lloyds previously coached at Penn Wood High School, where he served as the JV Head Coach and Assistant Varsity Coach.  He also has many years of AAU coaching experience and currently runs a summer program for girls to participate in a highly competitive summer league play.  His previous playing career and years of coaching and teaching the game will be a valuable asset to our program.

Anthony Maggitti: Freshman Coach

Coach Maggitti is entering his 9th year coaching the Freshmen Girls Basketball team.  He is a health and fitness teacher at the high school and is a multiple sports coach.  Coach Maggitti has played organized basketball since childhood and continues to play that game as an adult.  Coach Maggitti's main goal is to develop the younger girl's skills to make them a well versed basketball player with a strong game I.Q who will contribute to the JV and Varsity teams.
